Lesson objectives

Understand the requirements for a business email
Collect evidence of a range of sent and received emails

Starter

Looking at the example email below - note the differences between that and the emails you send to your mates.

A good business email will be

  • In a small (10 or 12), plain, black font
  • Use good English, sentences, paragraphs and NO text language
  • Have a short subject
  • Have a simple closing

Use the paperclip icon to add an attachment

Forwarding an email sends the original email to someone else – always explain why you are sending it!

Your evidence will be a series of screenshots – you should send your emails to your teacher – write about the health & safety report you have written.

Task

Take screenshots to show evidence of all the emails you have sent and received as listed below.

  5. downloaded & saved attachments
  6. sent to multiple recipients

Finish your work with a paragraph about the risk of receiving and opening email attachments.

Save all the screenshots In the same word document as your searches. Add your name in the header. Hand in your AO2 section for marking.
